Hello, I am one of the tile professionals on this site but I do have a question for one of the laminate professionals. My laminate floor is only about 6 years old and already has a multitude of fine scratches. Is there a way to buff out those scratches? Thanks!

RE: Scratches in laminate floor
Michael, most laminate floors have a very hard durable finish. Most are coated with aluminum oxide. These floors are scratch resistant but not scratch proof. I would try to determine what is scratching my floors and take precautions. One thing that I have experienced is scratching from pets toenails. The manufactures of these floors do not reccomend any topical treatment for their floors other than to clean them.

RE: Scratches in laminate floor
Thanks for the response Jim. I made the mistake of purchasing a cheaper grade laminate flooring. I guess you get what you pay for. Thanks again!
