treat carpet for fleas

I am a carpet installer. I have a past customer who wants to know what is the best way to treat his carpet for fleas. Can someone help?

There are of course tons of commercial products available to sprinkle on your carpet. A chemical free method involves placing night lights around the room, along with a bowl of soapy water underneath the night light. At night, the fleas will be drawn to the light and will drown in the soapy water. If you keep doing this eventually the fleas should be gone.

That is an interesting method that I have never heard of.  I will have to do some research on it.
