What method do you use to get a good honed finish

I need to acheive a honed finish on a 16 X 16 marble tile floor. I am planning on a chemical etching. What do you recommend

I know some of the basic techniques that are used but I have not personally done much in the way of honing floors. I would try to find a pro who specializes in that. Good luck!
