Pre-formed niche

I am a tile installer. Is there some type of pre-formed niche that can be inserted into cement board in a new shower? It would be a lot easier than having to frame it out.

There are a few different niches available. Recess-it is typical of the niches I have seen. They are aluminum with an agrigate applied to the surface. You can get shelving pieces for them and they just nail or screw into a cut between the stud walls.
