glass stairs

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you can give me your opinion on this.  I own a high-end flooring store that sells tile, hardwood, bamboo, laminate and linoleum.  We recently started selling glass tiles and large clear glass panels.  I have had a few customers with interest in using glass flooring on their stairs to create see-through stair cases.  I would have to bring in a new lines of products specifically for this.  Has anyone else sold glass stair cases and what has your success been with them?

Hi Chasity,

For a high end store, you could probably do pretty well bringing in glass staircases.  If I were you, I would make sure to have a pre-built one on display.  I have seen glass stairs with a frosted effected that were lit from beneath.  They were breathtaking.

I've never installed these, but they look amazing.  For a high end store, I think it would be great.
